Remaining silent about BIM will not last for ever

OK i must accept that i decided to remain silent about my BIM experience, waiting for the results of the competition we participated a few months ago.
And it was an interesting experience. What we know until now is that our partitipation has beenreceived succesfuly by the commitee's FTP server and our BIM model stands between the models of the other participants. It was not a straight through procedure but more after the final competition results.

Architectural Competition requires IFC model as deliverable

The practice I am working for, decided to participate in an International Architectural Competition.
The management thought it was a participation as usual.
Today we received the competition program.
The main competition deliverable will be the IFC model of the building proposed.
Could any one even suppose this two years ago?
It seems there is no way to go without ACA.
